Privacy Policy

FlowFocus is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your study habits and data belong to you — not to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.

Data We Collect

We collect minimal data. Most of your preferences, tasks, and settings are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

What We Don't Do

• We do not use analytics tracking tools (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel)
• We do not sell, share, or monetize any user data
• We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels
• We do not collect personal identifying information

Study Rooms

When you join a study room, basic presence data (a random session ID and an optional display name) is shared with others in the room via our real-time infrastructure. This data is ephemeral and is deleted when you leave the room. No chat messages or room activity are permanently stored.

Third-Party Services

FlowFocus integrates with optional third-party services:

• Spotify: If you use the Spotify player, Spotify's own privacy policy applies to the embedded content.
• Todoist: If you connect Todoist for task sync, we access your tasks via the Todoist API but do not store them on our servers.
• Supabase: Used for real-time room features. See Supabase Privacy Policy.

Cookies

FlowFocus does not use cookies for tracking. We may use essential cookies or localStorage for functional purposes (e.g., remembering your theme preference).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated on this page.
